RLNC focused research continues to be an important topic for Engineers across academia and in industry. This recent paper on Progressive Multicore RLNC Decoding with Online DAG Scheduling is a fine example from researchers at Technische Universität Dresden, CeTI and Arizona State University.

Simon Wunderlich, Frank Fitzek and Martin Reisslein put forward a novel progressive decoding methodology for RLNC, utilising an online directed acyclic graph (DAG) to dynamically schedule highly efficient parallel computations on multicore processors with resulting boosted throughput and reduced decoding delay in key scenarios.
